A severe hail storm lashed the city of Broken Hill, in far west NSW on November 11th, 2016 at around 6.30pm. Golf ball-sized hail and severe winds caused widespread damage to property and trees, and battered homes and vehicles. It was reported that the wind was throwing the hail in all directions, causing trees to come down, roofs off houses, windows smashed and alot of car damage.
The storm came on suddenly, with police warning residents to stay home while the clean up was underway. Insurance Companies are taking claims and Aussie Hail will notify customers of it’s repair and assessment location as soon as a facility is established in the coming weeks.
